Lenovo S60 With 5-Megapixel Front Camera Launched at Rs. 12,999

Lenovo India has launched a new S-series smartphone, the S60, priced at Rs. 12,999.
The Lenovo S60 smartphone will be available via the company's brand store, thedostore.com alongside Flipkart and Amazon starting Monday.
The dual-SIM based Lenovo S60 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Vibe 2.0 UI on top. The company in a press statement confirms that the handset is upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop; though no time-frame for the release of the update has been announced.
The Lenovo S60 comes with a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It bears 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The S60 sports a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 5-megapixel fixed-focus front camera also on board. The rear camera features scene detection, face recognition, low light enhancement, Panorama, geo-tagging, burst shot, smile shot, and HDR options.
On the connectivity front, the Lenovo S60 offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. Unfortunately, there is no 4G LTE support on the handset.
The smartphone packs a 2150mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 240 hours of standby time on 3G networks. It measures 7.7mm thin and weighs 128 grams and is listed in Graphite Grey colour. It packs sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
Much like other Lenovo handsets, the Lenovo S60 also comes pre-installed with some proprietary DOit apps, such as SECUREit which will help users track, analyse and optimise their data usage; the SHAREit app for fast phone-to-phone data transfer capability without the need for Wi-Fi or mobile network; and SYNCit to that will give users a permanent backup of all their data and whilst making it accessible on any device.
